Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
In short: Galactic Rock collects no personal data. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no trackers, and it plays entirely offline. Your best score and settings stay on your device. If you choose to use Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iPhone and iPad), your scores and achievements are shared with Google or Apple to run the leaderboard and achievements.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Galactic Rock: Space Swing apps for Android, iPhone and iPad ("the app" or "the game") and this website ("the website") handle information. They are made by the independent developer of Galactic Rock ("we", "us", "our"), who publishes the app on Google Play and the App Store. The Android and iOS apps are the same game and handle information the same way; where they differ, this policy says so. By using the app or the website you agree to this policy. If you have any question, contact us using the details at the end.

2. Information we do not collect
The app does not collect, store on our servers, sell or share any personal information. In particular, it does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, device identifiers, advertising ID or browsing history. It contains no advertising, analytics, attribution or tracking software, and we have no servers that the app talks to.
The game never needs the internet to play. It goes online only to show you this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions when you open them from Settings (section 9). Google Play Games works through the Google Play services app on Android (section 4), and Game Center through iOS and iPadOS on iPhone and iPad (section 5).
3. Information kept on your device
The app saves a few values in its private storage on your phone or tablet, only so the game works:
- your best score;
- your settings: sound effects on or off, vibration on or off, and whether the frame-rate counter is shown.
This information never leaves your device through the app. Other apps cannot read it. You can delete it at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it on Android, or by deleting the app from your iPhone or iPad (see Delete your data).
Device backups
If backup is turned on, Android may include the app's saved values in your device backup to your Google account, and an iPhone or iPad may include them in your iCloud or computer backup, as they do for most apps, so they can be restored on a new device. These backups are made by Android and Google, or by Apple, and controlled from your Google account or Apple Account and your device's settings. We do not receive them and cannot access them.
4. Google Play Games (Android)
The Android app supports Google Play Games Services for the High Score leaderboard and seven achievements. Using it is optional: the game plays exactly the same without it.
- Sign-in. When the game starts, Google Play Games may sign you in automatically with your Play Games profile, if you have one and have allowed it. You can also sign in when you open the leaderboard or achievements.
- What is sent. While you are signed in, the game sends the score of each finished run (and your stored best score) to the leaderboard, and records the achievements you unlock. This is linked to your Play Games profile.
- Who processes it. Google provides Play Games and processes this information under Google's Privacy Policy and its Play Games settings. Depending on your Play Games profile and visibility settings, other players may see your gamer name, avatar and score on the leaderboard.
- What we see. In the Google Play Console we can see leaderboard entries (Play Games gamer names and scores) and statistics about achievements. We do not receive your email address, your Google account or any other information about you.
- If you are not signed in, nothing is sent. You can sign out, change who sees your profile, or delete your Play Games data in the Google Play Games app or your Google Account at any time.
5. Game Center (iPhone and iPad)
The iPhone and iPad app supports Apple's Game Center for the same High Score leaderboard and seven achievements. Using it is optional: the game plays exactly the same without it.
- Sign-in. If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, the game uses that sign-in when it starts. If you are not, it only offers Game Center's sign-in when you open the leaderboard or achievements.
- What is sent. While you are signed in, the game sends the score of each finished run (and your stored best score) to the leaderboard, and reports the achievements you unlock. This is linked to your Game Center profile.
- Who processes it. Apple provides Game Center and processes this information under Apple's Privacy Policy. Depending on your Game Center settings, other players may see your nickname, avatar and score on the leaderboard.
- What we see. In App Store Connect we can see leaderboard entries (Game Center nicknames and scores) and statistics about achievements. We do not receive your Apple Account, email address or any other information about you.
- If you are not signed in, nothing is sent. You can sign out, change who sees your profile, or manage your Game Center data in your device's Settings under Game Center at any time.
6. Sharing your score and rating the game
The game has buttons to share your score and to rate it. Share opens your device's share sheet (Android or iOS) with a short message (your score and a link to the game); the app you choose to share with receives that message, under its own privacy policy. Rate opens the game's page in the Google Play Store or the App Store. We do not receive anything when you use either one.
7. Permissions
The iPhone and iPad app asks for no permissions. The Android app declares the ones below.
- Vibration (haptics on iPhone): short vibrations when you grab a star, land a perfect release or crash. You can turn it off in the game's Settings.
- Internet: used only to load the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions from this website when you open them in Settings. The game sends nothing about you or your games with these requests.
These are the only permissions the Android app requests. Neither app requests location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, storage or notification permissions.
8. Google Play and the App Store
When you install the app from Google Play, Google processes your download and purchase history under Google's Privacy Policy. Through the Google Play Console, Google gives us aggregated statistics (such as the number of installs and ratings) and anonymous crash and performance reports from people who have chosen to share diagnostics with Google. These do not identify you, and we use them only to fix problems and improve the game.
Google Play may also check that the app was installed from Google Play and has not been modified ("automatic protection"). Google performs this check; we do not receive personal information from it.
When you install the app from the App Store, Apple processes your download under Apple's Privacy Policy. Through App Store Connect, Apple gives us aggregated statistics (such as the number of downloads) and anonymous crash reports from people who have chosen to share analytics with app developers. These do not identify you, and we use them only to fix problems and improve the game. The app's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
9. This website
The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts (its fonts are served from the website itself). It is hosted by Vercel Inc., which, like any web host, processes technical information about each request (such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) in its server logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Vercel's Privacy Policy. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
Viewing our policies in the app. When you open the Privacy Policy or the Terms & Conditions from the game's Settings, the app loads that page from this website inside the game (on iPhone and iPad, in Apple's built-in Safari viewer). That visit is handled exactly like any other visit to the website (as described above): no cookies, no analytics, nothing loaded from third parties, and the app sends no information about you or your games with it. Links to other websites open in your browser.
10. If you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you and to handle your request. We never sell it, share it or use it for marketing, and we delete it when it is no longer needed for your request, normally within 12 months.
11. How long information is kept
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Best score and settings on your device | Until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it |
| Play Games or Game Center scores and achievements | As long as your Play Games or Game Center profile keeps them, under Google's or Apple's policies, or until you delete them |
| Emails to us | Until your request is resolved, normally no longer than 12 months |
| Website server logs | As set by Vercel, typically a short period |
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal information about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. This includes rights under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and US state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
- Apart from emails you send us, we hold no personal information about you, so there is usually nothing for us to access or delete. We will still answer any request, normally within 30 days.
- Your Play Games data is held by Google and your Game Center data by Apple: you can view, download and delete it with their tools (see Delete your data), and we can remove your scores from our leaderboard on request.
- We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to help first.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering you to handle emails you send us. The game itself processes no personal data on our behalf.
13. Children
Galactic Rock is a game for a general audience. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children, and contains no ads or purchases. A child's use of Google Play Games or Game Center is governed by Google or Apple and the parent's settings, such as Family Link, Family Sharing and Screen Time. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Security
The game keeps its data in the app's private storage, which Android, iOS and iPadOS protect from other apps. The website is served only over HTTPS. Because we collect so little, very little could ever be exposed; still, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
15. International users
We are based in India. Google, Apple and Vercel may process the information described above in other countries, including the United States, under their own safeguards. Emails you send us are processed through our email provider.
16. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app or the website handles information, for example by adding a new online feature, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and change the date at the top. For significant changes we will also say so in the app's release notes.
17. Contact
For any privacy question or request, including a grievance under Indian law, contact us:
